This study investigates availability of Microscopes and Students' Practical Skills in junior secondary schools in Abeokuta. Using a survey research design, data were collected from 206 principals in junior secondary schools in Abeokuta. Findings reveal that microscope shortage limits microscopy skills acquisition The study recommends use of activity-based and improvisation methods in science lessons
