This study designed and implemented a Voice-Activated Smart Home Automation System that enables users to control household appliances using spoken commands. Manual and remote-only controls are inconvenient, particularly for persons with mobility challenges. The system converts speech to commands, interprets intent, and controls connected appliance modules, with status visible on a web dashboard. Built with Node.js, Express, and MongoDB, the system was evaluated in a simulated home environment. Results showed reliable command recognition and appliance control. The study recommends expansion to more appliance types and enhancement of voice recognition accuracy.
