Development of a Comprehensive School Management System for Secondary Schools
Computer Science — 2024, Undergraduate
This study developed a Comprehensive School Management System to integrate the administrative functions of secondary schools, including student enrolment, staff records, class management, and academic records. The manual and fragmented methods of school administration lead to inefficiency and loss of information. The system centralises administrative processes and provides access to integrated modules for users of different roles. Built with Python Django and SQLite, the system was evaluated with school administrators and teachers. The findings demonstrated improved record keeping, faster generation of reports, and better coordination among school departments. The study recommends full adoption of the system to enhance the overall management of schools.
