Development of a Web-Based Hospital Appointment Booking System for Tertiary Institutions in Kogi State

This project designed and implemented development of a web-based hospital appointment booking system for tertiary institutions in kogi state. Structured system analysis and design methodology was adopted, modelling the existing manual operations, specifying system requirements, and implementing the new system with Node.js, Express, MongoDB, HTML/CSS, JavaScript. The system was tested with sample data from the study area and evaluated for usability. Findings showed that the computerised system reduced processing time and errors compared with the manual method. The project recommends full deployment, routine database backup, and periodic maintenance.
