Development of a Web-Based Task Scheduler and Reminder System

This study developed a Web-Based Task Scheduler and Reminder System to help individuals and organisations organise tasks, set deadlines, and receive timely reminders. The manual tracking of tasks often leads to missed deadlines and reduced productivity. The system allows users to create, prioritise, and schedule tasks, and to receive email and in-app reminders. Adopting the Systems Development Life Cycle, the system was built with Node.js, Express, and MongoDB. Evaluation revealed that the system improved task organisation, punctuality, and overall productivity among test users. The study recommends deployment of the system for personal and team use, and extension to mobile platforms.
