This study assesses gender Stereotypes and Girls' Mathematics Choices in private secondary schools in Gombe. A descriptive survey design was employed and data were gathered from 369 teachers in private secondary schools in Gombe. Findings reveal that stereotype threat steers girls away from mathematics The study recommends regular training and retraining of science teachers
