This study investigates initiation of Breastfeeding Within One Hour of Birth in Ipata Market, Ilorin. Using a survey research design, data were collected from 205 midwives in Ipata Market, Ilorin. Findings reveal that midwife encouragement decides early initiation more than mothers' knowledge The study recommends continuous in-service training and simulation drills
