This study assesses language Difficulties in Solving Word Problems in rural secondary schools in Jalingo. A descriptive survey design was employed and data were gathered from 210 principals in rural secondary schools in Jalingo. Findings reveal that English phrasing trips many problem solvers The study recommends use of activity-based and improvisation methods in science lessons
