This study assesses mathematics Background and Physics Performance in Secondary Schools in public secondary schools in Offa. A descriptive survey design was employed and data were gathered from 220 students in public secondary schools in Offa. Findings reveal that weak algebra drags mechanics scores down The study recommends provision of adequate laboratories and teaching materials to schools
