This study examines oral Tradition as a Source of Local History in a Yoruba Town. The research adopted a survey design, collecting data from 120 residents in the study area. Findings reveal that oral accounts preserve details of origin and migration absent from written records The study recommends documentation and preservation of oral and material heritage
