This study assesses perennialism Versus Progressivism in Classroom Practice in urban secondary schools in Umuahia. A descriptive survey design was employed and data were gathered from 157 students in urban secondary schools in Umuahia. Findings reveal that progressivist methods dominate private schools The study recommends equitable funding and supervision of schools
