This study assesses somatic Cell Genetics of Locally Cultivated Cassava Varieties in Gombe. A descriptive survey design was employed and data were gathered from 223 samples. Findings reveal that local varieties showed predictable chromosome counts The study recommends integration of biological indicators into environmental monitoring
