This study examines teaching of Organic Chemistry Reaction Mechanisms in private secondary schools in Lagos. The research adopted a survey design, collecting data from 249 teachers in private secondary schools in Lagos. Findings reveal that mechanism mapping aids recall of organic reactions The study recommends regular training and retraining of science teachers
