This study assesses widowhood Rites and Women's Rights in Traditional Communities. A descriptive survey design was employed and data were gathered from 210 households in Kano State. Findings reveal that harmful widowhood practices persist alongside growing rights awareness The study recommends enforcement of child protection and social welfare laws
