Design and Performance Assessment of Basic Amplifier Circuits
Physics — 2025, Undergraduate
This study designed and assessed the performance of basic amplifier circuits. Common-emitter style stages were built and tested for voltage gain, bandwidth, and distortion at audio frequencies. The findings revealed that measured gains and bandwidths matched design calculations reasonably, with distortion rising near clipping, while supply stability affected performance. The study observed coupling effects between stages. It recommends careful bias design and load matching in amplifier development.
