Effect of Immunisation Practices on Child Health Outcomes in Nigeria

This study examined the effect of immunisation practices on child health outcomes in Nigeria. A descriptive survey was conducted with mothers of under-five children using a structured questionnaire. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics and regression analysis. The findings revealed that complete and timely immunisation significantly reduced the incidence of vaccine-preventable diseases and improved child survival, while incomplete vaccination exposed children to disease risk. The study observed barriers of access, knowledge, and vaccine availability. It recommends health education, outreach services, and strengthening of immunisation coverage.
