Effectiveness of Election Management on Credible Elections in Nigeria
Political Science — 2025, Undergraduate
This study assessed the effectiveness of election management in delivering credible elections in Nigeria. A descriptive survey was conducted with voters, election observers, and electoral officials using a structured questionnaire. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics and regression analysis. The findings revealed that logistical preparedness, technology use, and impartiality significantly influenced public confidence in elections, while operational failures, result transmission issues, and security concerns undermined credibility. The study observed improvement in some regimes but persistent challenges. It recommends transparent processes, independent electoral administration, and robust dispute resolution.
