This study examines gendered Language in Nigerian Home Videos. The research adopted a survey design, collecting data from 395 residents in secondary schools. Findings reveal that film dialogue assigns markedly different speech roles to male and female characters The study recommends policies that balance indigenous languages with effective English instruction
