Impact of School Funding on the Quality of Educational Facilities in Nigeria

This study examined the impact of school funding on the quality of educational facilities in Nigeria. Data gathered through questionnaires administered to principals, bursars, and education officers were analysed together with budget records. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics and regression analysis. The findings revealed that funding levels significantly influenced the provision, maintenance, and quality of classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and equipment, while inadequate funding resulted in decayed and overcrowded facilities. The study observed inefficiencies in fund utilisation. It recommends increased and timely funding, transparent utilisation, and public-private partnerships.
