Influence of Community Support on School Development in Nigeria

This study investigated the influence of community support on school development in Nigeria. A structured questionnaire was administered to school stakeholders including parents, community leaders, and school administrators. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics and regression analysis. The findings revealed that community contributions of funds, labour, materials, and volunteer support significantly enhanced infrastructure and school programmes, supplementing government resources. The study observed that support varied with community capacity and school leadership engagement. It recommends strengthening school-based management committees and accountability for community contributions.
