Influence of E-Government Adoption on Service Delivery in Federal Ministries

Public Administration2024, Undergraduate

This study examined the influence of e-government adoption on service delivery in selected Federal Ministries in Abuja, Nigeria. Anchored on the Technology Acceptance Model and Systems Theory, the study adopted a survey design with 360 respondents drawn from civil servants and service users. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics and chi-square test. The findings revealed that the adoption of e-government platforms improved the speed, convenience, and transparency of service delivery, although infrastructural deficits, digital divide, and low digital literacy constrained full utilisation. A statistically significant association was established between e-government adoption and the quality of public service delivery. The study recommends intensified investment in digital infrastructure and sustained user training.
