This study investigates laboratory Assistants and Effective Practical Sessions in public secondary schools in Kano. Using a survey research design, data were collected from 196 students in public secondary schools in Kano. Findings reveal that assistants halve apparatus setup time The study recommends provision of adequate laboratories and teaching materials to schools
