This study investigates mining Pits and Safety Lessons in Mining Towns in public secondary schools in Warri. Using a survey research design, data were collected from 276 students in public secondary schools in Warri. Findings reveal that pit stories warn pupils more than posters The study recommends provision of adequate laboratories and teaching materials to schools
