Proverbs in Political Campaign Speeches

This study assesses proverbs in Political Campaign Speeches. A descriptive survey design was employed and data were gathered from 152 students in Lagos State. Findings reveal that politicians deploy proverbs to signal wisdom and win audience approval The study recommends stronger emphasis on oral drills and language laboratories in schools
