Use of Abacus in Lower Primary Arithmetic

This study assesses use of Abacus in Lower Primary Arithmetic in senior secondary schools in Ado-Ekiti. A descriptive survey design was employed and data were gathered from 451 parents in senior secondary schools in Ado-Ekiti. Findings reveal that abacus users compute faster mentally The study recommends supervision of syllabus coverage and practical work by school heads
