Determinants of Agricultural Export Performance in Nigeria
Agricultural Economics — 2025, Undergraduate
This study examined the determinants of agricultural export performance in Nigeria. Time series data on exports, exchange rates, and policies were analysed together with questionnaire responses from exporters. Data were analysed using regression techniques. The findings revealed that exchange rate stability, compliance with international standards, and export support policies significantly influenced agricultural export performance, while logistics bottlenecks and quality constraints limited competitiveness. The study observed heavy reliance on a few commodities. It recommends export diversification, quality certification, and logistics improvement.
