This study examines determination of Water Hardness and Its Treatment in Selected Rural Communities. The research adopted a survey design, collecting data from 173 consumers in Lagos State. Findings reveal that groundwater in the study area is moderately hard and responds well to simple softening The study recommends public enlightenment on safe handling and use of chemical products
