Development of a Cybercrime Incident Reporting and Analysis System
Cyber Security — 2025, Undergraduate
This study developed a cybercrime incident reporting and analysis system that lets victims and agencies register incidents, classify offences, and analyse patterns by type and location. The system produces anonymised statistics for awareness and law enforcement planning. Adopting a client-server architecture and a survey-based usability evaluation, the system was built using Python, Flask, and SQLite. The findings showed that the system improved incident visibility and supported pattern analysis, while achieving a high System Usability Scale score. The study recommends adoption by campus security and cybercrime units.
