Development of a Security Operations Centre Dashboard and Alert System

This study developed a security operations centre dashboard and alert system that centralises events, correlates alerts, and tracks analyst assignments and responses. Real-time views support triage and escalation. Adopting a client-server architecture and a survey-based usability evaluation, the system was built using Python, Flask, and SQLite. The findings showed that the dashboard improved alert triage and operational coordination, while achieving a high System Usability Scale score. The study recommends deployment in institutional SOC teams.
