Development of a Financial Data Analysis and Forecasting System

This study developed a financial data analysis and forecasting system that enables small businesses to analyse revenues, expenses, and margins and generate basic forecasts using trend and moving-average methods. The system presents performance indicators and visual trends on a dashboard. Adopting a client-server architecture and a survey-based usability evaluation, the system was built using Python, FastAPI, Pandas, and React. The findings showed that the system improved timely decision-making and budgeting accuracy for participating businesses, while achieving a high System Usability Scale score. The study recommends adoption by SMEs and micro-finance institutions.
