Development of a Web-Based Data Quality Assessment Tool
Statistics — 2025, Undergraduate
This study developed a web-based data quality assessment tool that profiles uploaded datasets and reports completeness, uniqueness, consistency, and validity issues. The tool generates quality scores and highlights records requiring correction. Adopting a client-server architecture and a survey-based usability evaluation, the system was built using JavaScript, Node.js, Express, and MongoDB. The findings showed that the tool reduced time spent cleaning datasets and improved confidence in downstream analysis, while achieving a high System Usability Scale score. The study recommends embedding the tool in data collection pipelines for continuous quality checks.
