Development of an Online Cybersecurity Awareness and Training Platform

This study developed an online cybersecurity awareness and training platform that delivers modules on phishing, passwords, social engineering, and cyberlaw, with quizzes and certificates. The platform tracks learner progress and weak areas. Adopting a client-server architecture and a survey-based usability evaluation, the system was built using Node.js, Express, and MongoDB. The findings showed that the platform improved learner awareness and knowledge retention, while achieving a high System Usability Scale score. The study recommends deployment in student and staff onboarding programmes.
