Effect of SMS Language on Students' Written English

This study investigates effect of SMS Language on Students' Written English. Using a survey research design, data were collected from 194 teachers in the study area. Findings reveal that heavy texting habits spill abbreviations and spellings into formal writing The study recommends promotion of reading culture through school libraries and book clubs
