Impact of Public Relations Practices on the Corporate Image of Nigerian Telecommunication Companies
Mass Communication — 2025, Undergraduate
This study examined the impact of public relations practices on the corporate image of Nigerian telecommunication companies. A survey was conducted with subscribers of major network providers using a structured questionnaire. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics and regression analysis. The findings revealed that media relations, corporate social responsibility, and responsive customer communication significantly influenced subscribers' perception of the companies. Poor complaint handling and perceived insensitivity to service failures, however, damaged reputations despite active public relations campaigns. The study recommends consistent engagement, transparent communication, and alignment of public relations activities with service quality improvement.
