Influence of Business Ethics on Corporate Reputation and Stakeholder Trust in Service Organisations
Business Administration — 2025, Undergraduate
This study examined the influence of business ethics on corporate reputation and stakeholder trust in service organisations in Nigeria. A survey was conducted with employees and customers of selected service firms using a structured questionnaire. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics and regression analysis. The findings revealed that ethical leadership, transparency in dealings, and fair treatment of stakeholders significantly strengthened corporate reputation and trust. The study, however, found that consumer trust was eroded by inconsistent product claims and poor complaint handling. It recommends embedding ethics into organisational policies, enforcing codes of conduct, and maintaining transparent communication with stakeholders.
