Influence of Curriculum Implementation on Student Achievement in Nigerian Schools

Educational Management2025, Undergraduate

This study examined the influence of curriculum implementation on student achievement in Nigerian schools. A descriptive survey design was adopted with questionnaires administered to teachers, students, and curriculum officers. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics and regression analysis. The findings revealed that the quality of implementation, including teacher preparedness, availability of instructional materials, and coverage of the curriculum, significantly influenced student achievement, while overloaded content and inadequate resources limited effectiveness. The study found gaps between curriculum documents and classroom practice. It recommends teacher support, material provision, and realistic curriculum load.
