Development of a Wi-Fi Security Assessment and Audit Tool
Cyber Security — 2025, Undergraduate
This study developed a Wi-Fi security assessment and audit tool that documents access points, encryption types, and default-configuration risks, then generates hardening recommendations. The tool maintains assessment history per site. Adopting a client-server architecture and a survey-based usability evaluation, the system was built using Python, Flask, and SQLite. The findings showed that the tool standardised wireless audits and highlighted weak configurations, while achieving a high System Usability Scale score. The study recommends use in campus and office network audits.
