Development of an Online Regression Analysis Application for Students

This study developed an online regression analysis application that enables students to fit simple and multiple linear regressions, examine residuals, and interpret correlation coefficients through guided outputs. The application accepts spreadsheet uploads and returns coefficient tables, diagnostics, and plots. Adopting a client-server architecture and a survey-based usability evaluation, the system was built using Python, FastAPI, Scikit-learn, and React. The findings showed that the application improved learning outcomes and reduced calculation errors in regression coursework, while achieving a high System Usability Scale score. The study recommends deploying the application across statistics programmes.
