Development of a Defect Density and Reliability Prediction Dashboard
Software Engineering — 2025, Undergraduate
This study developed a defect density and reliability prediction dashboard that aggregates defect reports, computes density and removal efficiency by phase, and supports simple reliability forecasting from failure history. The dashboard highlights modules at quality risk. Adopting a client-server architecture and a survey-based usability evaluation, the system was built using Python, Flask, and SQLite. The findings showed that the dashboard improved quality decision-making, while achieving a high System Usability Scale score. The study recommends use in quality assurance and reliability teams.
