Development of a Population Data Management and Analysis System

This study developed a population data management and analysis system for local communities to record, store, and analyse demographic data. The system captures births, deaths, migration, and age structures, and generates population pyramids and summary indicators. Adopting a client-server architecture and a survey-based usability evaluation, the system was built using Python, Django, Pandas, and SQLite. The findings showed that the system improved data accuracy and retrieval speed compared with paper registers, while achieving a high System Usability Scale score. The study recommends deployment in local government areas to support planning and resource allocation.
