Design and Implementation of a Network Bandwidth Management Portal
Information Technology — 2025, Undergraduate
This study designed and implemented a network bandwidth management portal that visualises traffic usage per department or user, enforces fair-use limits, and queues heavy downloads. The portal supports policy profiles and usage reports. Adopting a client-server architecture and a survey-based usability evaluation, the system was built using Node.js, Express, and MongoDB. The findings showed that the portal reduced congestion and made bandwidth allocation transparent, while achieving a high System Usability Scale score. The study recommends deployment on campus networks.
