Development of a Web-Based Accessibility Monitoring and Reporting Tool
Information Technology — 2025, Undergraduate
This study developed a web-based accessibility monitoring and reporting tool that checks web pages against accessibility checkpoints, records violations, and tracks remediation progress. The tool produces portal-level accessibility scores. Adopting a client-server architecture and a survey-based usability evaluation, the system was built using Node.js, Express, and MongoDB. The findings showed that the tool increased accessibility awareness and reduced compliance gaps, while achieving a high System Usability Scale score. The study recommends adoption by web development teams.
