Development of a Resource Sharing and Collaboration Portal

This study developed a resource sharing and collaboration portal that lets teams reserve shared hardware, schedule usage windows, and coordinate projects with shared workspaces. The portal logs utilisation and prevents double-booking. Adopting a client-server architecture and a survey-based usability evaluation, the system was built using Python, Django, and SQLite. The findings showed that the portal improved resource utilisation and team coordination, while achieving a high System Usability Scale score. The study recommends deployment in laboratory and shared-facility environments.
