Development of a Centralised Student Database Management System

This study developed a centralised student database management system that consolidates admission, registration, and academic records under controlled access. The system supports import, validation, and standard reports. Adopting a client-server architecture and a survey-based usability evaluation, the system was built using Python, Django, and PostgreSQL. The findings showed that the system reduced record duplication and retrieval time, while achieving a high System Usability Scale score. The study recommends deployment in departmental academic offices.
