Development of a Web-Based Multi-Tenant Records Management Platform
Information Technology — 2025, Undergraduate
This study developed a web-based multi-tenant records management platform that lets multiple units run isolated record stores with shared infrastructure, metadata standards, and retention rules. Users search records and manage lifecycle states. Adopting a client-server architecture and a survey-based usability evaluation, the system was built using Node.js, Express, and MongoDB. The findings showed that the platform improved records organisation and tenant separation, while achieving a high System Usability Scale score. The study recommends adoption by multi-unit organisations.
