Development of a Software Change Request and Impact Analysis System

This study developed a software change request and impact analysis system that captures requested changes, traces affected components, and estimates effort and risk before approval. The system records implementation and verification status. Adopting a client-server architecture and a survey-based usability evaluation, the system was built using Python, Flask, and SQLite. The findings showed that the system reduced unplanned change and improved impact transparency, while achieving a high System Usability Scale score. The study recommends use in maintenance and evolution teams.
