Development of a Web-Based Deployment Environment and Configuration Manager
Software Engineering — 2025, Undergraduate
This study developed a web-based deployment environment and configuration manager that registers environments, tracks configuration changes, and approves promotion of artefacts across stages. The platform maintains configuration baselines and rollback points. Adopting a client-server architecture and a survey-based usability evaluation, the system was built using Node.js, Express, and MongoDB. The findings showed that the platform reduced environmental drift and configuration errors, while achieving a high System Usability Scale score. The study recommends adoption in deployment pipelines.
