Development of a Web-Based Procurement and Inventory Management Platform

This study developed a web-based procurement and inventory management platform that streamlines requisitions, approvals, goods receipt, and stock levels, with reorder alerts and supplier records. The platform tracks order status end to end. Adopting a client-server architecture and a survey-based usability evaluation, the system was built using Node.js, Express, and MongoDB. The findings showed that the platform reduced procurement delays and stock discrepancies, while achieving a high System Usability Scale score. The study recommends deployment in institutional procurement units.
